This is a huge, well known event with over 200 sales and food vendors. All proceeds will benefit UDR. We'll be looking for donations of gently used items for this sale, as well as volunteers to help with the sale. Click here for more information Blanket Making at JOANN Fabrics Maplewood Sunday June 10th, 2018 9:30 AM until 12:30 PM Location: JOANN Fabrics and Crafts Map: 1739 Beam Ave Maplewood MN 55109 Join us at the Joann's near Maplewood Mall to help us make fleece tie blankets for our foster dogs! These blankets give our fosters a soft place to lay and will go with the dogs upon adoption so they have a comforting scent to help them transition. WHAT IS NEEDED: -Fleece Fabric! To make 1 blanket we need 1.5 yards of a print fabric (top of blanket) and 1.5 yards of a solid color fabric (bottom of blanket). Totally ok to get fun with the pattern - male, female or unisex! See the Discussion tab in this event for a few examples. -if you have any heavy fabric scissors, it would be helpful to bring. If not, we will be able to borrow from the store's craft room. -NO sewing skills required - it's just cutting ends with scissors and tying a basic knot! If you can't make it on June 10th, we accept tie blankets ANY time! In support we come to honor our volunteers who have battled cancer, along with all other peoples and even some of our beloved canines who have lost their lives to cancer, are currently fighting for their lives or have beaten this horrible disease. We support you!!! We will have some of our adoptable dogs, dressed in appropriate costumes for you to meet and fall in love with! YEP!! Its back and was a hit last year.......we will be playing "Pluck a Duck" to raise money for our homeless animals. Stop on by, pet a pup and Pluck a Duck!
