Learn more about the Doberman Pinscher.
Felix is a 2 year old, purebred male Doberman who is being fostered in the La Cross, Wisconsin area. Felix is currently attending daycare and is in formal training classes two times a week in the local area with his foster mom, learning manners and basic obedience skills. Felix love, love, loves to go to doggy daycare and play with all his dog pals. This is the highlight of his week! Felix would love to be adopted in a home that can continue the daycare and training he so loves, or even fun times at dog parks so he can make pals with other dogs!
Our Felix is a for sure on of the most charming young and handsome guys you will meet, but he has had a rough start in life but he holds no grudges! He loves all people he meets! Felix was found wandering alone and hungry, and taken in by animal control who tried to find his people. Unfortunately, despite their best efforts, nobody came forward to claim him. Felix was left in the safe care of the shelter for over a month, waiting for someone to rescue him and give him a loving home. Felix is fully vaccinated, vetted and neutered, and ready to go to his forever home. One thing noted is Felix has a front leg injury, possibly it was broken sometime in his past and did not heal correctly, and it looks a little wonky. The vets have looked at it and determined there is not much to do now as it is healed and he is using it. Despite this, Felix uses his leg like its no big deal and is a very happy, active and playful guy who loves to run around and play with his buddies or even with toys in the yard all by himself.
Felix the charmer, is a total lovebug and cuddler. He truly just wants to belong to a human as he will follow people he sees as kind, everywhere. In Felix we see an affectionate and loyal Doberman, with a sometimes goofy personality, who will make a great companion for someone looking for a loyal, gentle Doberman friend to keep them company. We all know there is nothing like a Doberman to be your best friend! Felix wants to fill those needs. Felix is crate and house trained and is very respectful of other dogs. Oh and did we mentions he loves playing with toys? Yep, Felix will empty the entire toy box to see what prizes he might find and then play with the toys that amuse him most. So very cute!! Although it's not certain how he would do with cats, he may be a good match for dog-savvy cats who are used to being around dogs. He has proven to be great with both big and small dogs in doggy daycare too!
Felix is charmer, goofball, loyal, gentle Doberman and a real catch, and he's just waiting for the right person to give him the love and attention he deserves. He's so very handsome with lots of love and companionship to offer the right someone. If you're looking for a young Doberman, who is loyal in every respect and a very affectionate companion, Felix might just be the perfect match for you. Apply today is interested. In the mean time Felix will be waiting for you, working on his obedience skills and enjoying every minute of every waking hour, and dreaming about his forever home and the life he will have................
