Learn more about the Doberman Pinscher.
Hello, I'm Ricky, I need a forever home!! I might be a Doberman, but I'm also a dog with feelings and a story to tell. I've lived a full decade, and my life's journey has brought me to a moment of transition. You see, my lifelong companion and friend, the person I've loved and protected for so long, is facing a challenging battle with something called cancer. As his own journey takes him into uncharted territory, I find myself looking for a new home and family. For the past nine years, my life has been intertwined with his, full of joy, laughter, and unforgettable moments. Loyalty is in my nature, and I've been a faithful companion through thick and thin. As my human faces the unknown, it's time for me to find a new family to watch over and care for. My master told me this was best because he will be getting weaker and weaker in the next few weeks and months and wont be able to care for me. He told me he "has to get everything in order." I might be a Doberman, but I'm also feel my job is to protect my master and home. Well isnt that what all of us Dobermans were really made for? I promise to keep you safe, just as I did for my previous master all those years. I'll be your steadfast friend, ready to offer my unwavering loyalty and affection. I will watch over you and keep you safe. It's essential for me to find a home where I can be the one and only dog, with no other cats or dogs around. I can be tolerant of dogs for a short time but would prefer they not live in my home. I want to dedicate all my attention and devotion to you, my new family that I hope to become a part of. As I enter my golden years, I might not be as spry as I once was, but my heart is as strong as ever, and my love and loyalty knows no bounds. A bit of grey on my muzzle tells a story of a life well-lived, and I'm still full of love and companionship. By inviting me into your life, you'll not only be giving me a home but also the opportunity to continue my mission of loyalty and love. You'll be providing a safe haven where I can spend my twilight years, watching over you and keeping you safe. If you have room in your heart and home for a senior Doberman like me, who simply wishes to be your guardian and devoted friend, please consider giving me a chance to be a part of your life. I promise to be the most loyal and loving companion you could ever wish for. With love and a hopeful wag of my nub that you will be my new master, More about RickyNot Good with Cats, Is Not Good with Kids, Good with Adults, Does Good in the Car, Requires a yard, Leashtrained, Cratetrained, Likes to swim, Protective, Obedient, Playful, Affectionate, Eager To Please, Intelligent, Even-tempered, Gentle, Goofy All potential adopters must fill out the adoption application.
