Ranger is a docked and cropped handsome 4 year old purebred male Doberman. Very active, alert and super smart. He is kennel trained, house broken, knows basics obedience like sit, down, come, leave it, drop it, kennel, place and he is very easy to train. Ranger is extremely food motivated. Super friendly with every person he meets, and so very good with children ages 6 on up. Ranger does well at vet check ups with strange people handling him. This boy is strong and stealthy! When they made the sign for a Doberman that says: " I can make it to the fence with 2.8 seconds. Can you? " this sign was for Ranger and we are not joking, he runs unbelievably fast. Ranger does fantastic in a large group of dogs when introduced properly! He has been doing wonderful at doggy daycare and has successfully integrated with the big dogs. His kennel seems to be his calming place as when hes out he is always on alert and will keep you and your property safe. Ranger is neutered and up to date with all his vaccines. He was heartworm negative and is now on preventative. He is also on flea and tick medicine. Ranger loves stuffed animals and the kids have been learning quickly to put away their toys. We have been working with the "leave it" command, but Ranger seems to really love stuffed things. He is truly a kind dog with people and will need an experienced Doberman person in his forever home. Ranger has been found to be hypothyroid and takes a daily thyroid medication. Hypothyroidism is very common in the Doberman breed. 20% of all Dobermans are found to have thyroid issues. Thyroid meds are cheap and cost pennies per day to make them feel better. Ranger will need thyroid meds the rest of his life. Ranger also has allergies we have found. Ranger is fully vetted and ready to come home with you! We do give preference to homes with fenced yards. Puppies must live in homes with fenced yards. Those with no fencing must have a plan in place for daily activity and bathroom breaks for adult dogs. With the exception of Meet and Greets, y
ou will not be able to meet our adoptable animals until the adoption application is submitted online and the home visit is completed. We will not place adult rescue dogs in homes with young children under 6 years old, with the exception of puppies 6 months and under, we will adopt to families with children under 6 years old, but a fenced yard is mandatory. Our dogs must live indoors with their humans and never left outdoors alone or in a kennel or yard unattended. You must be willing to use a crate and sign up for formal obedience classes. You must be 21 and own your home. We will not adopt outside of the USA. We will not ship our dogs. We will not adopt to anyone charged or convicted of animal abuse, child abuse, any type of felony.
